I’ve always wanted a Bronco with the removable roof.
But if I bought all the cars I’ve wanted I’d be one of those crazy guys who ends up with a property with about 600 cars on it.
Well, that and the fact that I don’t have money for it.

You do know they ALL had removable roofs, right? I mean, there are some legal technicalities behind removing the top on the last gen, but it’s still almost as easily done.

Interesting (all relative) tidbit: the 92-96 bronco had 3 point seatbelts for the second row, but the third point was mounted on the removable roof. Removing the roof meant you couldn’t legally have a 2nd row of seatbelted passengers.

Well, that’s what I meant. It’s EASIER to remove them on anything but the last gen.

Aw, now I’m sad. First time we went to Woodward, it was in Dad’s with the top off. (I know, I need to just get over it, but I did spend the last 9 years dreaming of it.)

The top also had the then newly-regulated third brake light. Ford bolted the top on with some “tamper resistant” screws that are actually quite easily removed with power tools you have at home.
