Ugh, I have a friend from high school whose wife documents their life on insta with #thisiswhatveganslooklike or some nonsense...why does your diet matter in your vacation pics?

My sister is a vegan and has a vegan instagram (with 879 followers!) but it’s 90% pictures of food she’s made and 10% plugs of products she buys in attempts to get free stuff from the makers of those products.

If meat-eaters acted like vegans they would be Ted Nugent.

You know what most vegans look like? Pale and malnourished.

Probably true but he hunts at least some of the things he eats so there’s that

How can you tell if someone is a vegan?
.....

.....
Don’t worry, they’ll tell you.

I know people who are like this about meat. They usually wear a lot of Mossy Oak clothing, and have those antler stickers on their trucks. They also think posing with their kill is cool. I eat meat, but think people like that suck.
I have friends that are vegan, and it is definitely much more than dietary choice for them. Not my jam, but I respect it.
I think this guy’s stuff is hilarious.

You don’t know very many vegans. My vegan friends are all avid outdoors enthusiasts. None of them are pale or malnourished. A few of them are pretty avid martial artists as well.

And he lets everybody know about it and acts superior because of it, just like vegans.

Hilarious. Any dietary extreme is pretty ridiculous (and usually somewhat selfish and unsustainable). This video works because there is no meat-eating equivalent for vegetarians, but it’s fun to imagine.

I know a bunch but they aren’t actually active. They do pretend though.

We have a mom at our school who is at least vegetarian, drives a Prius, is green as the day is long and loves to tell you about it. We had our annual PTA sponsored spring festival fund raiser last Saturday, and she about had an aneurysm when she found out we were having a petting zoo.

I love are the people that say they are vegetarians but eat fish and/or chicken.
Love it.

But what if they are also in Crossfit? Would they ever stop talking?

I have a very good friend who is vegetarian, and we were eating out at a Chinese place once and he had some sort of soup. After he finished it, he said, “That must have had meat in it. I’m starting to feel ill.”

Did you ask her if she has a Conflict or Fair Trade/Labor Battery in her Prius? And what she plans to do in order to recycle it so the soil isn’t contaminated?
I am sure she is the kind that drives in the left lane too...the typical place for those POS cars.

lol, I live in the San Francisco bay area. There are enough vegans here to build a vegan army. That said, it would quite ineffective. Are these MRE’s organic?

My rule is no selling me things (physical items, diet, exercise, religion, or politics) on social media unless that’s the reason your account exists and I’ve made a deliberate decision to follow it. I think your sister’s insta sounds fine :)

You know there is an actual vegan army, right? Funny you mention MREs because I have a vegan friend who served in the US Navy. Also, if you’re from the Bay Area, have you ever heard of David Meyer? He’s vegan and one of the first Americans to achieve a black belt in BJJ. Pretty stout fella.
