My makeshift hail shield blew over and scraped up my hood pretty bad. You can see where I tried to rub some of the marks out with my fingers, but I’m pretty sure there’s permanent damage. The damn wood had laminate on it, though, so I have no idea how it caused so much scraping. If it doesn’t buff out, I’m going to look into getting a wrap.
It also landed on my Escort’s rear bumper and put a small crack in there. Not noticeable, but if I get rear ended again, it will almost certainly split open. At least that one is an easy, cheap fix, though.

Outch, had kind of the same thing happening to the hood of my Pajero recently. stuff fell on it in a minor storm and left some nasty scratches. Luckily, my engine swap required a new hood, because functional hoodscoop. I need to get it painted though
