Australia’s “National Broadband Network”
how to waste a monumental amount of cash in one easy go with added bonus of fucking everyone over whilst you go along!

Yeah, if I’m on my desktop that’s what I get but speedtest was limited by my HDD :)

But it will improve the speed for all the sheep farmers out in the middle of nowhere though, right??

only if they hook up to the satellite service possibly
i’ve heard so many horror stories of places going so SLOW, and there’s new housing areas that are still waiting for services to be hooked up 12-18 months after moving in.
it is one big sick joke, then when people do complain about poor speeds/service dropouts (which are occurring so frequently) they just get put into a merry-go-round of NBN blaming the ISP, ISP blames NBN.
customers are getting fucked over royally.

Sounds great. We get a lot of that here too, especially in more rural areas, I have friends and family that get awful speed\service on “superfast” services.

Nothing so awesome here.
Sadly the only other option is AT&T which tops out at 25 or 35 Mbps (don’t remember which), and is only ~$10 cheaper.
