The clues we have so far are:
loud BANG
engine immediately cut off
no oil spill
no obvious holes in [the engine]
zero compression

I fear something worse. Whatever it is, it sounds like it’s completely internal, and David’s use of the words “catastrophic” and “carnage” worry me.

Exactly. He’s reused stuff that most would have hauled off for scrap money. Now, I’m interested. I wonder if Jeep might step in at some point.
