While I was drooling over pictures of the future Elantra GT Sport hatchback, I realized the i30 (our current Elantra GT) was available already with the 1.6T. There’s a surprise too.
A 3 doors hatch!
I guess it will not be replaced, as less and less 3 doors are sold?
Ah, and there’s also a wagon, but you knew this already, didn’t you?

We had a 1.6 Hyundai i30 hatchback but it was a diesel.
Didn’t like it. It was just so bland.

Damn you rest of the world for getting more versions of a competent dull as ditchwater also-ran.
Had I been American I would’ve complained about a lot of other cars not being available to me before mentioning this Hyundai. Even if we had only been talking about compacts.

The reviews ( Evo , Top Gear , Auto Express , Car ) on the previous-gen i30 Turbo were middling to above-average at best.
Based on what I’ve read about the Elantra Sport, the new i30 Turbo (a.k.a. Elantra GT Sport) is probably a large improvement.
