The news on pricing for the TT-RS just hit the wire. It also gives us a really good indicator as to how much the RS3 will cost.
The TT carries a $9000-$9500 premium across the board over the A3 with which it shares the MQB platform. (A3: $34,500 vs TT: $43,500; S3: $42,900 vs TTS: $52500).
I’ve figured for a while the RS3 would be priced in the mid-50's, and it looks like $55k-$56k will be right on the money.
Not that I would spend that kinda dough on a FWD-based compact sedan with an automatic transmission..that is signficantly less attractive than the concept..

That’s good. I guess the latest Haldex allows for more static rear bias. Previous generations required a tuned Haldex controller to get more aggressive rear-biased behavior.
It’s still automatic only though. SAD.

Can I be reminded as to why the TT exists? Besides being a subjectively more attractive design it’s very similar to the RS3 and not a bespoke model like the Cayman/Boxster it supposedly competes with.
