I painted my winter wheels this past fall and had a similar result where the wheel was considerably blacker than the tire. Oops.

I saw in another comment you’re going for a silver ring - that should look pretty good.

Thanks!, taping for the silver part is turning out harder than I thought it would be. I’m kind of stuck at the moment. These are my all seasons and they are getting replaced as soon as I’m don’t painting.
