Seriously?It looks like they were intentionally trying to make it look like a Chevy. Since when does the leadering brand follow the...follower? It’s like if Honda decided “you know what our cars should look more like Nissan’s.

As usually it looks better painted body color.

At least there’s this option which looks like the FX4 package. Which means to get it you’ll have to buy a 50,000 dollar truck. (An XLT with an appearance package, skid plates and knobier tires)

If you ask me this version without the Chevy cross bar should be the only option, although it still doesn’t looks as good as the outgoing model.

I don’t know. It looks like the super duties now. They’ve had fairly distinct styling since the body styles split, so this is more like reverting to the past.

“super duty” pickups only became a thing in the late ‘90s. it’s not like the distinction is sacrosanct.

Yeah the 17 had the bumps in the headlights and c chapped headlights but it didn’t have the cross bar, a trademark of Chevy trucks for the last 60 years.

Okay, so, the F-150 through F-350 all had the same body. I think the F-450 or F-Superduty did as well. They split into two separate lines in 1999, I believe.

And then there’s the Ford “XLT Sport Appearance Package” for which I can’t find a direct Chevy equivalent.

Are they really all that similar? Aside from both being large boxy full-sized MURRICAN pickup trucks?

Horizontal bars between the headlights isn’t new to Fords. If anything, they’re just evolving the look of the last Super Duty, making the headlights the feature that wraps around them instead of chrome brackets in the grill.

I’ll admit, the 11th gen is the best looking modern Ford truck; I’m just not a fan of the modern Ford trucks...

Can we talk about how stupid this looks how much better this looks than the current truck? The chrome one is the only one I really dislike, and even then I think it looks way better than the current truck. The new grille is (dare I say it?) small, in a good way, I’m tired of the billboards of chrome on the front of every truck these days.

I actually really like the look of that red Chevy (although I prefer the GMC version) with the body colored grille. I’m so tired of chrome front bumpers.

Total coincidence: look what I parked behind at work today.

(Although this is an LT Z71 with the little chrome bit at the bottom, but no chrome slats like the LTZ Z71, or totally chrome free like a Custom.)
