I’m not even close to joking about those doilies, btw. Those doilies are fucking fabulous and it cuts me to my very soul knowing that whatever monster buys this is going to remove them.

the Japanese are big on doilies in livery cars, for some reason. When I was there, every single taxi I took had them on all seats.

it gets old fast. though I’ll admit I had a right-hand-drive Mustang convertible for a weekend a little over a year ago, and people lost their minds when they saw me driving it.

From what I’ve hear in Japan high end luxury means nice quality cloth. If you are getting in or out of your big luxury car and the leather makes an embarrassing squeak when you sit down it’s considered very rude and embarrassing. Politeness and respect are paramount inportance.
