Case in point: 300HP Kawasaki.

Is this Ride 2? I was very tempted to pick it up but I resisted, I play too many games I think lol. If it’s ever cheaper again my wallet might not be so lucky...

Yup! It’s fun but I prefer the MotoGP games. Grinding out 3-lap races against nobodys isn’t as much fun as competing in a whole championship against familiar names.
But it is awesome to race at the Northwest 200, Ulster GP and Macau.

I know this isn’t GTA but that game taught me all I need to know about riding motorcycles: it’ll be a lot of fun, but you’re probably gonna die eventually.

You know, real bikes aren’t that scary. A good beginner bike has between 30 and 60 hp

I want to get my hands on one, find a fuck long stretch of road, and top it out.

I could totally handle an R3 or something like that. The only reason I don’t get one is other drivers.

start by watching other drivers intently. Know what they’ll do before they do it. You can easily watch body language, if they are looking at their phone, how they are driving etc. I treat every car as it doesn’t see me. It works.
Ride, there is no better therapy.

The thing you want is a dirt bike.

the one key thing I had hammered into my head was “watch the car’s wheels , not the driver’s eyes. They can look right at you and not see you.”
That’s saved me many times. I know at certain intersections around me people are likely to turn left in front of me. the instant I see the front wheels of the car turn to their left I’m on the clutch and brakes.

a game which allows you to beat hookers to death and has the police using RPGs against you isn’t exactly an accurate representation of reality.

I know what you mean. I got my Dyna up to 110, then realized that it was a time of day where it was very likely Bambi might run out into the road and ruin the rest of my life.

In my experience this is the exact fear that keeps people off bikes or the fear that keeps bikers on bikes for life. Those that don’t have this fear will end up selling their bikes after a season or will end up in a hospital or worse. So good on you for knowing your limits.

Buy a miata, or a geo metro, or something else equally small and powerless. That’ll teach you to check every single degree around you always.

Yes, but the dying from being run over is 100% accurate! Minus the respawning piece
