This is a two car garage. One must be a sporty car with an automatic transmission (Edit: DCT allowed, but NO manual shifting )* and the other one must be a comfy cruiser with a manual transmission.
*How did I make that? It’s not a normal parenthesis!
To keep you from subversively swapping the two. The automatic car will have coilovers to stiff and an exhaust to loud for comfort, and the manual car will be de-tuned to have no more than 200hp and will be fitted super comfy seats and steering wheel cover that mute any chassis feedback.
And there’s a 100k price cap too.
Edit: You can choose cars that weren’t offered with the “proper” transmission. They’ll be magically converted.
Edit #2: The hp loss can be converted to low rpm torque, if you choose.
Have fun!

But what are you going to drive when your headlight cracks and you have to save up for months to fix it? http://oppositelock.kinja.com/guess-the-price-thors-hammer-edition-1793922837

Change the second one to a DS and that’s probably what I’d pick.

No mods needed to either.

1st car is an R35 Nismo.
2nd gen Legend with a 6-speed for the 2nd one. I don’t think they made much more than 200 HP anyway.

Sporty automatic :
don’t know if you can shift yourself but it’s a Lexus so probably not. And it’s a v8 which works for your exhaust stipulation.
Manual cruiser

If you’re magically converting cars, I’d best hope you’re covering maintenance.

Sports: Toyota Mark X G’s (never offered with a manual)

Sporty/Auto: 3rd gen MR2

Sporty Automatic: Porsche 968 because a 928 is too obvious. I had thight about a Challenger but just couldn’t see myself owning one.
Manual Cruiser: 59 Buick on the column.

I’ve somehow managed to do this in real life with my current and past car.
Automatic sporty car (a damned good auto at that):
Manual more comfort (read: not sporty) oriented thing with 180 horsepower and lots of low end torque:
Both had for under $10k combined.

Well since we have magic transmission swaps i would do a sporty automatic 2014 SRT Viper and a comfy ol’ manual 2003 Touareg V10 TDI. Should be doable for $100k.

are you not scary close to this actual situation in real life?
![]() 04/02/2017 at 23:18 |

Nope! I’ll supply parts for the magic transmissions though!

Technically yes.

I think it’s actually a good combo.

I mean, both my cars are manual and the b180 is a fwd 1.6L 5 door, so maybe but I don’t really think I’m too close.
