And have to buy ONE factory, street legal, car or truck built between 1990 and 1995. And it CANNOT be the Mclaren F1. What do you choose?

XJ220. Yeah, it’s leaving money on the table but I’ll have the parts department pad up the invoice with spare stuff.

Because even now they’re desperately pretty and have aged wonderfully. Spare change for maintenance.

I’d buy a Viper and pocket the rest.

Kinja’d!

Well duh.
I’d take this even if the F1 was on the table.

Easy to narrow down, difficult to make the final choice.
1995 eliminated the best year of the Impala, so let’s knock that one out. From there it becomes a battle of passenger space vs raw speed. If I’m feeling practical on the day of purchase I go Typhoon, if I’m feeling like having the most fun possible it’ll be the Syclone.
And bank the remaining $2,995,000-$2,920,000.

Can’t buy an F1 with $3 million, anyway. They’re more like $15-$30 million now, depending on spec. Yes, really.
Bugatti EB-110 SS for me. Always been a favorite of mine, regardless of what some might call “challenging” aesthetics.

Mega track!!

Not sure but I don’t think you can find one of these for $3 mil.
Or are we pretending we are back in the ‘90's?

The EB110 has alway had a place it me.

Actually, you could get multiple for $3 million:

Glossing over the fact that its just slightly over budget, but it did originate from a Canadian team.

1995 Diablo SV. But only because the clk gtr didn’t release until 1998

One of these, fully loaded.

Lancia Delta Integrale, maybe? Mercedes 190e 2.5-16? E34 M5? Porsche 993 Turbo? All possibilities and with that budget why choose just one?
But ultimately, probably this: Mercedes 560 SEC AMG.

Somehow DuPont Registry has Kinja’d your link

I like where your head is at.
I desperately love both cars, and if I won the lottery and only had enough to buy 1 of the 2, I wouldn’t know what do with myself! Both or bust!

If it didn’t have to be street legal I’d say this and then have a lot of fun money left over for other toys.

A 1995 BMW 525i in Imola Red with the 4 speed automatic, black leather, and wood trim.
This was one of two cars that got me into BMW as a kid.
I’d have quite a bit of money left over.

What are you going to do with the other $3,997,500?
![]() 03/31/2017 at 13:02 |
|
Ah, but you see, I plan on getting one in mint condition with relatively low miles. So, I should have about $3,985,000 left over.
Yes, I’m willing to get one because it’s one of my dream cars in life.

MX-5 could be the answer in this case.
Namely the M2 1006, which was developed in-house by Mazda, though it got shelved at the last second. It sported a 217 horsepower V6 from the 929, earning the nickname — ‘Cobraster’.
Granted, if it doesn’t exist anymore, I’ll stick with an Eunos Cosmo.
