Is not in its proper place. Looks good, though.
Shiny.

We just airbrushed one of those for a friend a few weeks ago! (Not my design choice, but it turned out well, and it’s owner was thrilled).

I saw the maybechaser again. I seriously almost followed them. They were a bit ahead of me but managed to make a light I didn’t and they were gone before I could catch up. I know the general vicinity in which they work/live because nearly every time I see them is in the same part of town. One step closer.

Do you have to use special paint when airbrushing a valve cover to deal with the heat from the block? I’m looking into a nice cover for my engine rebuild this summer and might want to paint it the AMC logo colours.

We used solvent based automotive paint (have a rack of Sikkens in our shop to mix pretty much any color imaginable). Anything you run through an airbrush will probably need to be pretty thin/reduced (solvent or water based). If you’ve got an automotive paint/body supply shop, they could probably mix up a small amount at a reasonable price for you to do a valve cover.
