Kinja'd!!!

You do the maintenance and Hondas will go. I had a 1994 Accord for my commuter, nothing wrong with it but it had no AC so I ditched it. I have a 2006 CRV now, granny owned before.

I have never had an issue, my 1994 Accord had zero issues, the CRV is fine as far as I can tell, I just took it in for a service and the 2nd airbag recall thing.

Hard to figure out exactly what the author’s deal was. Pissed off at Uber, yet not really being upfront on the taxi front either.

Anyways this isn’t a daily driver, this is a work vehicle.

Good car though.

Half the Toyota 4WDs I’ve seen are well into the 200k, some into 300k.

I know it’s nowhere close but my parents 06 Ridgeline is sitting at 215k miles with no more than regular maintenance. Hondas will last forever if you treat them right

How many transmissions did it eat thru? :p

It reads like a press release from any narcissistic “holier than thou” tech startup of the 2010s: “Fuck those guys, we’re better than them! We’ve got crossword puzzles man!”

Seriously though, it’s cool that car has that many miles... Though with being in California, trans cooling, regular flushing, and rebuilds, can one really even be that surprised?

Interesting how their maintenance schedule for all 14 of their MDXs is 10k oil changes (and transmission fluid - apparently also every 10k!?), then timing belts at 150k. Occasional transmission rebuilds as needed.
