I was under the impression that full on squids don’t wear helmets.

They do when required by law.

Earlier today I saw a couple riding 2-up on a Harley (because of course). Neither one was wearing a helmet. But the back of the bike was VERY well protected, as a pair of helmets hung to either side of the end of the seat. *head desk*

From out of state? They could have been riding to/from a place that requires them.

I also pretty much count anyone wearing a half lid as someone that would ride without any helmet if they could.

^ +1
yea. def some greasy ppl that do that.
or the ones that only where the leather vest with patches.
(confession time: I used to only ride with the back protector at one point. I have long since stopped)

I would worry that those would catch on something if the helmet ever used in its intended role
![]() 03/27/2017 at 19:24 |
|
they are bendy plastic and held on by velcro. they wont be able to catch on anything.

If you’re doing it? I’m doing it! And I’m an old. If I get a couple of fellow oldsters to do it maybe we can kill this quickly.

Well, if its going an a sick helmet I guess it’s ok.
I’m looking at the Bell Race Star for my next lid. Soon......can’t wait.

I came very close to getting one of those. but I couldnt quite stomache the 600$ cost they have up here (not this year anyways)

I still need to go try one on and make sure it fits right, but I’m leaning that way. My Arai Vector is 6 years old and not quite fitting right anymore, time to move on. Arai doesn’t really have anything new and cutting edge at the moment, though their lids are always nice. We’ll see where I end up.
