Its rare you ever find anything useful on 9gag, but this is actually a 1/2 decent guide to your retro bikes.

Was unfamiliar with the “brat” genre. I’ve always just rolled those into the cafe category.

Ahh yes, the Chopper. The stance of the motorcycle world.

no, stretched bikes are the stance of the bike world.
in racing, they DO have their uses. for 99% of ppl, they just need to learn more throttle control or do it for looks.
choppers just look good (pending on who you ask anyways)

I’d ride any of the above... except the choppers. Even though the one is from Easy Rider, I still wouldn’t ride it.

Yeah but choppers have no turning ability. they get a lot of looks, but at the end of they day you took a perfectly good bike and made it useless. nothing like having to do a 5 point turn on a motorcycle.
For reference, I am not a fan of stretched swing arms on street bikes either. They make sense in certain race types, but not on the road.

streched bikes cant turn either, but much like stance, it started with something that was a performance mod.
“They make sense in certain race types, but not on the road.”
also much like stance.

I also call those “5milers,” since none of those seats have any padding
I take that back, they have about as much padding as a dashboard.

It’s called Brats because they were first designed by the custom bike maker Bratstyle in Japan. They’re basically a Japanese bobber. In Japan it is illegal to remove the rear suspension, so that’s the main difference between a Brat and a Bobber. Cafe bikes were meant to be replicas of old race bikes.

I wish the stories of the Grom Scrambler going into production were real.

I looked at that picture a good dozen times and I still can’t find a single bike on there I would like to ride or own.
