I’ve been meaning to come clean for quite some time....I don’t have my Wrangler anymore.
I had to sell it to pay for my attorney in the case to get custody of my daughter. So...it went toward a good cause.
But presented here is my DD: a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LS 4wd w/ sun & sound Pkg. We’re around 142k miles on the ticker. It’s a beast of a machine and I really enjoy driving it.
Does anyone think these are cool? It has a straight six!

Wait....whaaaaa? They were still making these up until last year? 0_o
I thought production ended in like...2009 or something?

I think it’s cool, and you did the right thing. Good on you, bud.
Also, I think you meant 2006?

I don’t think it’s a 2016 model, but besides that, nice truck! I love the color and it looks super clean for its age and mileage—plus I do love the Atlas I6, a throwback to the days when I6's were standard in everything!

Error on my part. 2006 model!

My first thought was “wow. 142,000 miles in a year? That’s legit.” My second was “wait... do they still make Trailblazers?”

I’m partial to a certain badge-engineered variant.

Honestly, I will say yes, however: the passenger side seat feels like it’s two inches higher than the driver seat because nobody ever sits in it. Also negative: my head bumps the ceiling a lot because the sun roof really takes away from total head room (and I’m 6' tall so I gotta recline like a G). But overall I say very comfy!

Actually, Chevrolet still sells the Trailblazer, just not in North America. It’s an SUV version of the new Colorado/S10, like Ford with the Everest/Ranger

My father helped design the assembly process for the Saab variant. I would love to have one!
*but in that model I’d have to go without my favorite cup holder spot because that’s where the ignition switch is on the Saab

That’s an understandable typo!

Nice! We have a 2004 Envoy and it’s been a tank for us. I love the engine.

That thing looks brand new for having 142k. A lot of trailblazers I see nowadays are pretty beat up so good job finding one in this good of shape.
The Saab 9-7x and the Oldsmobile Bravada were my favorite variants of this car though.

I’d rock every one of them! They are all cool! I tend to like the Isuzu Ascender because rare!

I’ve driven them. They are pretty good, though you have to take some packaging compromises since they are body on frame. What they excel at is being bulletproof. Our secretary at work has one and they just replaced the transmission at 250k miles and that was the first non-minor problem they’ve had with it.

While technically not my first car, I drove one up until I got my 4Runner. I still miss the Atlas.

I am very much a TrailBlazer enthusiast. I miss mine everyday. Great purchase, you’re going to love the Atlas I6. If you have any questions, please ask I know these things inside and out.
