Some quick pictures of the first day of the europpomeet at Spa. Better pictures are still on my camera, so they’ll follow once we get back. We did two pacecar laps of Spa, and had a tour there. Even driving Spanat 80 kmh is awesome! After that we went to a museum in Stavelot, which was quite nice too. Tomorrow we will drive to the Nürburgring, which is will probably be even more awesome.

I think the next congregation of Oppos in Europe will be Goodwood Festival of Speed, aside from maybe me, RWSMotorsport and the lesser spotted BiTurbo228 meeting at Goodwood Breakfast club. Shame I can’t be there in Belgium and Germany this weekend.

One point of consolation for you: it was bloody cold in the caravans we rented. Note to self: daytime temperatures of 15 C do not automatically mean warm nights.

But yeah, you should join next time, it’s so nice meeting the faces that go with the names.

No problem, got a thing for GT40s myself too, so had to take one anyway.

The turnout is quite nice indeed, we’re thinking this might be the biggest congregation of oppos until now.

It’s a difficult time in terms of cash, because I’m saving for a wedding and a house, next year I’ll be slightly better off so depending on what is happening I could be in a better position to go.

As long as I am dry, I am happy :)

In my area, we have had measurable precipitation on 70% of days since October 1st. Dry, happy.

Jazeker! Ik heb m’n best gedaan, maar eigenlijk totaal geen idee wat mijn tijd was. Niet dat die heel goed geweest zou zijn, door al het verkeer waar ik voor naar rechts moest, haha. Het was me wel gelukt om Rob bij te halen tussen Kallenhard en Breidscheid, nadat hij me ingehaald had bij Adenauer Forst, omdat er weinig verkeer was op dat stuk.

Alex heeft stickers voor jou mee gegeven, het lijkt mij het handigste als ik die meeneem als de Pao er is, of ik kan ze natuurlijk ook met de post opsturen.

Haha, tijden zijn ook niet belangrijk man! Je leven gaat nou nooit meer hetzelfde zijn. Serieus. Die eerste keer ga je je leven lang herinneren (was toch je eerste keer?). Alles wat daarna komt... Iedereen er weer veilig vanaf gekomen?

Super, had ik ‘m inderdaad gevraagd. Neem maar mee met de Pao.

Klopt, was de eerste keer. Ik heb nu ook het gevoel dat ik de grenzen van de auto beter ken, en het smaakt zeker naar meer, haha.

Iedereen is er zonder grote problemen af gekomen, wel een paar kleine probleempjes: Niko’s remmen begonnen te trillen richting het einde, Alex heeft een stuk kledinghanger gevangen met zijn remklauw, verder niets eigenlijk, behalve dat de RX-8 weer olie nodig had natuurlijk, haha.
