But...at least I’ll be able to see something neat come 930
This is next door to where I’m waiting for my brakes to be looked at after I had some work done but they still don’t work so good.
This classics shop opens at 930. Never seen a future liner before. This appears to have a turbine in it for some reason

No it looks axial, like a jet engine. It’s in the cargo area not installed. I’ll get a better look here in about an hour

Yes! I saw this around New Years. It’s pretty impressive. Dual front wheels and a semi-spiral stair to the center driver’s seat.

Neat. Is it the one with the cutaway turbine in it? If so, that particular Futurliner was found in a junkyard and restored. The original turbine wasn’t found, so the owner had a company make a nice replica.

Yes, the one that’s in Ardell’s classic car showroom with a bunch of insanely overpriced collectible classics parked so closely together that you can barely squeeze between them?

The first time I saw one was on Bitchin’ Rides. Kindigit customs restored one for a customer. Here’s the result:

There’s an old deteriorating bus behind a windbreak at a farm I drive by a couple times a year. I haven’t had the best look at it but I’ve seen enough of a silhouette that I think it might be a Futurliner. I want to rescue it so bad, whatever it is. Would make for a pretty sweet RV and/or cabin in the woods.
Any Art Deco coach in general though I’m pretty enamoured of.
But having just reminded myself of how few were actually built I think the chance that the old rotting bus is a Futurliner is pretty slim. Although now I’m tempted to run out there just to find out. Except it’ll still be buried in snow and it’s 25 miles of twisty gravel “mountain” road to get out there. So it’ll be a couple hours that I’m better off spending packing considering I have more urgent matters at hand. Even though it’ll be a couple hours of fun.

Well, sure. I mean, there’s the whole Jersey market to consider.

There’s a transporter Futurliner for sale on Hemmings right now. I have it bookmarked in my favorites just on the off change I hit the Lotto.
