Seriously, is there even ONE vehicle from the 2017 or 2018 model year that you believe is not only worth MSRP but you would actually pay sticker price for? Think of something before you go any further, I’ll wait...

Jaguar F-Type convertible, if I could afford it I’d buy one new.

Recently, I sat in a 2017 A8L and an S550 back to back at a car show. The Audi’s interior was so unbelievably gorgeous that it make the merc seem cheap and ugly inside. I’d pay sticker for an A8! Gimme 30 years on that one though

Any Subie, since they refuse to depreciate. This is a trick answer, I know.
If I were an American I’d pay sticker for a new Miata. (Not in Canada, because top trim is 41 grand).

Isn’t American? That’s easy. Mazda3, Range Rover Sport, Subaru Impreza, Subaru Forester, BMW 2-Series, Lexus IS, Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, Porsche Boxster, Honda Fit, Mercedes C-Class.
I struggle more with American brands, to be honest. Cadillac ATS-V maybe?

I got to check out an LC500 yesterday. The craftsmanship is even better than in the S-class coupe, M6, or RS7, and it undercuts all immediate competition on price. If I had the money, I’d take one.

Buy it for $184,900. (will need home equity loan)
Sell for, conservatively, $384,900. Pay off loan.
And then buy a 997 GTS and perhaps something else as well.

Toyota 4Runner. Just kicked the challenger out of the running of cars I’m going to try to buy. Given how well they retain value used, looks like I’m not going to have a choice.

I don’t believe in it, I would buy a car off a two year lease with a warranty from a good dealer if I had to have something newer I would keep forever, newest I will do. These new sporty Lexus LC (?) coupes look amazing, I could go for one as a commute and GT car, since they are a Toyota I would expect them to last. My sights are on one of these used in the future. But the cars I really care about are the old ones so these are for comfort and reliability, with some fun if you can get it.

Both the Giulia and Jaguar XE seem very reasonably priced for what they are. On paper I’d say I would pay MSRP, but I haven’t actually driven one yet. Also, I’d pay MSRP for a GTI, because they punch above class in refinement. I almost did two years ago, but decided it just wasn’t in my budget.

I had one, then you added a rule that broke it. I can’t think of any. Maybe a Subaru WRX, but only where they don’t depreciate (PNW).
