Last week someone called a DOTS I posted dirty because it had a few spots. That’s not dirty. THIS is. And looking at it drives me insane.
The whole “in like a lion, out like a lamb” thing is such a lie. It’s always the opposite; infuriating because you get a taste of beautiful sunny 60s, wash your car, and start working on it again, but then a blizzard hits and it’s back to the frigid salt stained misery. If I could bear leaving all of the people I’ve ever known behind, I wouldn’t live here anymore.

That makes two of us. Fuck this.

It got down to 30 last night, I had to put the heat on.

I know. I had to wear pants and a jacket this week. WTF? I’ve only worn pants (normally shorts) a few times this year. Completely ridiculous

Not a complete expert on anecdotal predictions, but I have never heard it like a prediction that March is always in like a Lion, out like a lamb, but rather as it goes out the opposite of how it came in...if it came in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb, but if it comes in like a lamb, it will go out like a lion. Essentially, just a cute codification that March, as a transition month, can wildly swing.

20s and 30s until April with snow and ice, according to my local 10 day >:(

I’m not too upset about it. The last couple weeks are probably the best snow I’ve skied this year, it’s been a shitty year in the Midwest for skiing.

yep. my friends and I were outside wrenching on Jeeps in T shirts 2 weeks ago. Today? Gloves and the heaviest jacket I own...

I usually don’t until the salt is actually gone, but foolish optimism took over...

And here it’s been abnormally dry and warm. High 70s expected today and really, really dry. In fact, I was about to go wash the truck, but when I went outside, there’s a massive gas leak in our neighborhood. Just found out 4 gas lines were damaged by a construction company about 1/2 mile away.

February’s heat bill: $30. This month so far: $100+

huh that does make more sense/always applies to the situation lol

Ah see I don’t even get that silver lining, no snowboarding or skiing since I was a kid

wow that’s not sketchy AT ALL. I’d say wash it anyway!

That’s correct, of the beginning of the month is nice, hold on to your ass, but if you get dumped on in the beginning, then the end of the month should be nice. I’d love to know how often that really is the case, it would be interesting. It’s rang true this year for sure. That’s why all my spring stuff is still stored away for a bit longer, at least until April around here, but that’s no guarantee either, I remember having snow on Easter. If it weren’t for family, and shitty big bugs... I hate those things down south. But it would be nice to only buy summer tires and RWD cars.

You keep the heat to high. My house doesn’t have insulation and my heating bill is only 90$. Never turn it above 65.

oh most definitely, 70 all day every day. I can afford it though so that’s the way I have it. the difference is just incredible since the heat was off for 2 weeks

You heat your house while you’re not home? Mine drops to 55 from 8-5 then at 930 it drops to 55 again until 6 when it bumps back to 65. I’m in the process of rewiring and plumbing. Once that’s done I’m getting insulation.
My electric bill skyrockets in the summer though. I’m willing to pay the money for a cool house in the summer but I’ll suffer through the numb extremities in the winter. Just play outside with the dog for an hour and 65 feels blazing.

We got over a foot around here, I am expecting the next blizzard to come around early May.

the only time I’m glad I don’t live in the city is during a snowstorm. that looks hectic.

yea it’s a little ridiculous, the thermostat is seriously messed up so having it on all the time is the best solution. Also it’s an apartment about the size of a first floor in an average house. So not too bad all things considered. And I can get away with just one window AC in the summer! dat bachelor lifestyle

My car is so nasty right now.
