People on Jalopnik were dicks about this man. One comment said that their sympathy was lost for him when he said he wants to give two to each son and one to each daughter. Yes, I shall not sympathize with a man due to cultural divides.

That’s why Americans aren’t viewed very highly in the rest of the world - attempting to foist their cultural values on everyone else even when said foreign cultural values are not promoting violence/hatred (foreign values that do are a bit of a debate, we’ll not get into it here).

I’m assuming they’re referring to the gold Apache that was pictured. I think mounting a Dushka in the bed would be fitting for that truck.

In this case it doesn’t promote violence or hatred, but it does ensure that women remain reliant on men in their society. This bit of Islamic inheritance law is interesting, as Muhammad was basically bankrolled by his first wife, Khadijah. She was also the first Muslim and the only wife who Muhammad was monogamous with. You could argue that Islam would have never become what it was without Khadija’s money and influence.
I don’t lose sympathy for the guy, but I still think it is fucked up to ensure women remain in subservient roles. However, we have similar practices in our own society, so it’s not like we are above reproach.
