Rustless cars will last longer into the apocalypse!

There’s a silver lining in every shit storm, I guess.

#AlternativeGood.

Mengele made for incredible, and at the time otherwise impossible, medical advancements. You can be pretty bad for people while having some lingering positives. I would not say the net-net was a win though. Right?

When I lived in Ithaca they only salted on the hills. On the flats, they used this monster to keep things clear(ish):

Back in 2015, Trump told the Boston Globe he was no fan of using salt...

2015, huh? Man, I really hope he hasn’t changed his mind since then.

I think that minimizing the amount of salt dumped on roads is a Good Thing (tm). Treating the roads with liquid brine before it actually snows is cheaper and uses less salt. There are also alternatives such as beet juice.

That said, is is better to use more agressive salt / brine / beet solutions that cause less accidents, yet cause more long term damage to the roads and the vehicles driving on them?

Wouldn’t using beet juice just turn everything purple or do they somehow breakdown/neutralize the colour?

It gets mixed with molasses and cheese brine to form a lovely brown color.
