It opens doors to many tuner shops lost in the mountains around my place... I’m sure there are more hidden in there. Hoping to find them soon!

First thing I thought of when seeing “Savanna” and useful. Of course it can be useful.
Sorry.

Do you still have pictures of it?

Too many years behind the wheel of one I guess.

owned it before I even had a cell phone and digital cameras became commonplace. don’t think I ever took a film shot of it. it was an 82, pretty rough when I got it (but it was cheap!), but it was a riot.

I thought you were getting rid of it?

Yeah.... well... maybe not :)
I needed cash but ended up making quite a bit of money soon after that, so I can afford keeping it.

Very much, but not poser at least :)
The owner has owned the car for 18 years or so now... He even shipped it to the US a couple times to events there.

How do Japanese react to a white stranger pulling up in a modified/special car sniffing around?
![]() 03/12/2017 at 03:25 |

My thought exactly

Yeah they were really nice. Let us poke around their stash. The FD there had a gigantic turbo

When they saw his car, they were instantly friendly. We were very polite though and asked if we could take pictures first.

Most think I’m a tourist who somehow got a hold of a car to drive around lol. They are usually surprised that I actually live nearby and that it’s my daily driver :)

I’d love to travel to Japan one day and visit garages and such like you guys did.

Your car is like a magnet though. I would also be surpised if a complete stranger drove such an unusual car and spoke my language;)

Hey, not everyone needs to go to work everyday :)
And in all fairness even if I had to, I wouldn’t change car...

I’m on a work trip, so I figured I might as well have some fun. I spent about $60 in train tickets to get out to where Flavien lives. Totally worth it
