...and the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but because it’s custom paint, has an aftermarket head unit, has the F1 gearbox, and has the race-car bits, it wouldn’t appreciate very well and would be a tough sell later.
Ugh.

Didn’t know you could get a slushbox 355. Or “semi”-slushbox, rather.

Apparently it requires some finesse to drive these early F1s, which is the only reason I wouldn’t mind having the F1 box for personal use. But they are expensive to maintain, hence the lower resale value.

In ‘97, the 355 F1 was the first production roadcar with a paddle-shift transmission, paving the way for what we see everywhere with sportscars today.
Curse you, Ferrari...

Chan’s F355 has the F1 gearbox and he seems to like it. I think he wrote up some of the misconceptions of it and how to drive it. Still rather have a stick though.

Hagerty’s gives the F355 a +$30,000 market adjustment for Berlinetta/GTS with a stick and that is pretty consistent with the prices I’ve seen. That alone is enough of a reason to jump on any deal with a stick if your goal is to flip it in a few years...which I would.

Yea, that’s nuts though. Prices have gone crazy on any Ferrari with a stick it seems. Amazing cars though.

I have found three F355s with a stick for under $70,000, but I am going to keep them in my back pocket for now. :p
The 348 is probably an easier investment, but I think the return will be slower coming and lower. Both seem to have plateau’d for now.

348's aren’t bad, but the F355 is my dream car. I’d own it for a summer, after and the engine out and sell it before it needs it again.

The good news is that most F355s have just had their engine out. :D

Ha very true! Now, have the headers, valve guides and buttresses been fixed? As well as the sticky interior plastics? lol

Headers seem to be 50/50 from the descriptions I have seen. No idea about the buttresses or interior coatings.
Interestingly, 1994-1996 Corvettes have a similar rubberized finish on their interior plastics. I have no idea who thought this was a brilliant idea or how.

I’d rather just get some nice headers and never worry about it again. Plus, more sound please.
Those interior plastics are terrible! I remember someone on Oppo posted about fixing it on a 550.
