The primary ingredient in my Corned Beef Brisket. Two cans for the feast and two for the beast  chef!

Six pounds of corned beef and as much cabbage, carrot and “potatoe” you can stuff into a slow cooker. Add garlic and salt to taste.

Then drench it all in Guinness goodness.

The real fun starts after St Pat’s. When the supermarkets discount this horrible, cured cut of meat to pennies on the dollar.

Good savings too. Which is great. Bottles are 4 for £5, Guinness 440ml cans were free for cleaning a friend’s car and the whiskey was reduced from £22, to £15. Happy days.

I need to get a bottle of Teeling Single Grain ordered for next Friday.

The Single Malt is okay but the Single Grain is better.

Oh, and I’ve got an appropriate glass for the Guinness.

and the perfect post hard day drink.

Take a glass, a bottle of Jameson and a can of chilled Guinness Draught.

Pour in a large double or so of Jameson

add the Guinness

let it settle

then enjoy
