the one and only time I drove a car with gated shifter, I couldn’t get the damn thing to line up. Gear was a bit off where the channel is. Took me a while. I might be the only one who hates gated shifters... or that damn car was broken. It was a ferrari something or other. Doing valet parking back in the day

It takes a bit to get used to but the click and clack as you change gears is so nice. I miss my gate a few times out of 10 still, but nailing that perfect downshift is very rewarding.

Yea it was fantastic as younger guy, the company will still call me every now and again asking if I want to work some holiday, my answer is always no haha.

I worked at the companies original/most lucrative venue, which is in a equally fancy pants area. I’d say it was 30% regular cars/entry level luxury, 50% bigsedan/suv luxury (weird amount of Maseratis), and 20% exotics. 911's, amg mercs, astons, then always a few Italians/Bentleys.
