They made it look like a 1987 CTR Yellowbird, but it has a carbon fiber monocoque, a bespoke engine with 710HP, ceramic brakes, and a manual transmission. The want is strong !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

I don’t get it, won’t Porsche mind?

I understand the heritage part, but to most, they’ll think it’s an old Porsche. There’s nothing wrong with that because I really want one, but if you’re going to all the effort to make your own carbon monocoque you might as well make it look like a spaceship like the Aston Martin thing.

I 100% agree with you, but I have a feeling that these cars are going to be parked next to a Singer 911 in the Porsche wing of some collectors garage. Honestly I was hoping for an evolution of the CTR3 body style, but I can dig the whole heritage thing.

RUF is known for Porsches though, and they probably want to continue that brand image. If you make it look wacko it won’t fit in the lineup. Also, I admit the sleeper factor is pretty cool.

I feel like Porsche probably will, but hopefully RUF have already taken care of that whole copyright infringement thing.

An evolution of the CTR3 is absolutely what this car needed to be. It clearly doesn’t matter because I’m not the target market.

Yeah but can it beat the DevilZ?

That’s exactly why I added the bit about heritage. It still feels a little weird though. Having a car that looks 30 years old but out-performs most anything is totally rad, I will agree.

Ignoring the fact that isn’t on a Porsche chassis and doesn’t have a Porsche VIN, you could say that.

So, Porsche sells VIN-less chassis to Ruf, who then does everything themselves. That’s why Ruf is actually a manufacturer. I don’t think Porsche will mind.

I think my odds of living go up substantially with a Singer. From .01% to at least 38%

Yeah, but it’s a yellow retro death trap. How awesome is that?! Seriously, so many cars today are safe, computerized and look like spaceships why can’t we have a few that really are back to basics like this one. Throughout the day I’ve progressively fallen in love with this thing.
