Soon GM doesn’t have production in any area with RHD vehicles, so it’s hard see what they could bring to Australia. Modifying Chinese market vehicles is one possibility.

I think they are building some of Chinese market vehicles there, as it is beneficial for several reasons. But as they have now some production capability that has somewhat decent quality standards, those could be sold outside China too. Logistically China might be tempting choice for Australian market vehicles.
They of course might have some image issues, as they wouldn’t be “proper Holdens”. But is a Chinese Holden still better than a Ford that is similarly non-Australian?
But, it’s still just my wild guess. GM seems to doing so weird moves, so no-one knows what will happen. Maybe they’ll just sell Holden brand for one AUD to whom first asks?

So does this mean that parts for Opel based vehicles currently in or out of production are going to see a shift in prices?
