What Will Be Chevy's SS Replacement in NASCAR?

So, a thought just occurred to me. I’m sure we all know that, sadly, the Chevrolet SS will be discontinued after 2017.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

That means Chevy will have to change the race cars currently used in NASCAR, right? What would that be? Malibu? Camaro? Impala? I’m taking suggestions.

Does it really matter? It was an ‘ss’ in the same way the other car in the race was a ‘camry’. They’ll just slap some other not-at-all-related-to-the-real-thing nameplate on it. Or keep using ‘ss’ anyway.

the Camaro is used in the xfinity series, unless another model is introduced I would be leaning on the Malibu or Impala.

To be fair, the SS was actually rear wheel drive, and actually runs a pushrod V8 (although it’s very, very distant from the R07, as I understand).

The Camry and the Fusion, OTOH...

Yeah exactly, I could never watch nascar, I think Aussie V8s is cool though. It would have to be heavily modified real cars and no ovals.
