That seems like it must be a huge pain in the ass for the people who live around there. Wonder if they can erect a temporary bridge of some type (looks like the detour would be quite long).

I’m doing the drive from San Francisco to LA in April. I was pretty disappointed when I found out that section is closed. Looks like its not getting any better.
