If the world were a lot cooler, I’d be able to park a MiG-25 in my driveway. It would be the airplane equivalent of a Foxbody Mustang with a big block...Foxbat/Foxbody.
That would be so much better. Going for a cruise means hitting Mach 2 on my way to the West Coast for lunch. Racing F-15s at stop lights. And also, just sitting around looking at the thing.
To quote The Eagles, I think the Foxbat is brutally handsome in the way that Russian jets usually are. All angles and flat edges, very few curves. Just a big god damn titanium sled in which to store enormous engines.
What military aircraft would you park in your Cool World driveway?

Obvious answer is obvious.
Wait a minute, any aircraft? Do test aircraft/experimental aircraft count? If yes, well...

The Arrow is a good choice. The Spitfire is too, I just think a supersonic jet would make things so much easier. Get everywhere like immediately.

English Electric vintage dragster:
First plane to intercept a U2 at altitude, and even in the 80s the only plane able to overhaul a Concorde in a stern chase.
Plus beautiful in that 1950s way and hopelessly compromised in that British way. My kind of vehicle.

And you wouldn’t need an oven, just flip on the radar, point it at your food and stand back. You would need copious spares though

I’m a big EE Lightning fan. I love the stacked engines, it’s such a cool look.

I could also sterlize my neighbors in much the same way. I literally see no downside to this.

Saab J35 Draken:
Fully rebuilt with a new engine and modern avionics, but leaving its gorgeous design unchanged.
Scaled Composites Model 400:
Stolen from a Northrop Grumman boneyard in the dead of night Purchased through completely legitimate channels and upgraded with all the necessary components (weapon hardpoints, afterburner, etc.) to turn it into a modern F-20.
S-3 Viking:
Converted into a proposed cargo ramp variant , effectively turning it into the aerial equivalent of one of those cool Japanese mini-trucks.

[Edit:] Forgot to add the description for the Edgley Optica. It isn’t a military aircraft, but it is cool, so I included it anyway.

I’m torn. The F-14 is just the pinnacle of cool, especially in Jolly Roger livery:
But the JA-37 has that certain weird Swedish cool:
It looks much better in camo livery but I couldn’t find any pictures in my quick search.
The problem with those choices is that the F-20 might be my favorite fighter. Just look at it:
I’m facing decision paralysis already and haven’t even started looking at the warbirds or goofy experimental planes or bombers or transports.
