I don’t always keep fish, but when I do... tricolor sharks ( aka Bala sharks), shy cousin to the Rainbow shark, and a catfish or two to keep things clean

One dwarf gourami and five corydoras in a low-tech planted tank. There are also plenty of snails. They’re in the kitchen so unfortunately they very often witness me seasoning their cousins.

You’ve also got what looks like a Neon tetra.
I’ve had as many as four aquariums running at one time over the last 12 years. I’ve had all sorts of gouramis, tetras, barbs, angle fish, African and South America cichlids, guppies, platties, and catfish. But I’ve always beed drawn to oddballs. Some of the cooler oddballs I’ve kept include a freshwater flounder, freshwater moray eel, peacock eel, dinosaur bichir, African butterfly fish, and a 1' Florida Gar. Oh, and an electric blue crayfish.

at the moment, nothing. but have kept, from fishing, everything from snapping turtles, red eared sliders, bluegill, sunfish, channel cat, blue cat, flathead cat. alligator gar.
usually keep the catfish, decent size in a spare bathtub with the waterhose running and feed them dog food. usually keep them a few days to get the muddy taste out of them.
let them all go over time. just started feeling bad about keeping them all penned up.......

This is Crystal Methany, she is a South American Convict Cichlid. She like to eat her friends and hide all day getting sucked by the water filter. She also likes to dig and rearrange her tank.

I had a 25 cent goldfish when I was a kid that lived for five years. I loved Mike the goldfish, but he got the fish thing out of my system.

I think the last fish that I’ve had was... Well, a Flowerhorn Cichlid. Bastard loved the tip of my finger more than his food.

Whatever you do, don’t get her a mate. Convicts are the most prolific fish I’ve ever kept. They are so prolific, you can’t even give their progeny away.

I had a small saltwater tank for a while. Fun but a lot of work
