I don’t care for the chopped cab or the be-louvered hood, but damn!

Not too overdone!
Odd place for the cell though.

It seems like that transmission is on borrowed time.

That’s actually an easy swap, most difficult thing is moving the whole steering column over a inch or so. Then just drops right in. My grandpa was going to build one in the late 80s but sold the project for a 55 Chevy.

Yeah, there’s not a whole lot of room anywhere else.
It doesn’t look like anything is in the way of the stock tank placement.
A nice replacement cab and a topper and this thing is good to go.

Whoa, hold on.
Is that a fucking exhaust pipe roll bar?

This was my dream car for awhile. Just paint it pink and slap a unicorn on the hood. No seriously.

Aren’t we all, brother.

Oh cock.

That 454 doesn’t look too wild TBH

500lb-ft means that transmission is just a stoplight drag away from waving a white flag.
![]() 02/20/2017 at 15:25 |

Where does it say 500 lb-ft?
![]() 02/20/2017 at 15:28 |

I’m just guessing - a “performance” 454 with 8.75 compression will throw out 500lb-ft. I would think a fresh build would mean new pistons, rings, valve job, and then there’s the cam and carbs and headers.

Really depends on the cam and heads. The 454 HO, for example, uses rectangle port castings.
That intake isn’t doing it any favors, either.

I’m assuming the c350 is a typo, and the truck is running a TH350. If that’s the case, it will handle 500+ just fine.

O_o isn’t that asking for trouble?
![]() 02/20/2017 at 16:44 |

Not really, unless the transmission and its internals are very old. The TH350 is still a common transmission used in drag cars, dirt cars, and hot rods. It is a very robust transmission, and with some upgrades they can handle a surprising amount of power.

Seeing this makes me think a Hellcat Dakota is a doable swap :)

Hellcats are prefect for engine swaps once you unwrap it from around that tree.
