Side question, why does every JDM car have its stereo missing? My only though is that the radio frequencies are different so the import company just sells it over there.

This one might seem a little pricey, but Japanese Classics sold their $15k, manual, turbo Soarer really quick.

From what I know, the frequency thing is one of the reasons. Another is that a lot of the radios that get installed are “period correct” for the car, and people are willing to pay good money for them to put in other cars.

The radio frequencies are different from the ones in the US, so it wouldn’t be usable over here. Plus many people importing such cars like to get new head units anyways. It could also have been a dated aftermarket head unit.
