The perspective in the rust pis is screwy, makes it look like the house is slanted.
Also ass cool as the house on stilts thing looks it should really be skirted in, that’ll make it a lot easier to heat.

Does seem a little pricey if totally off grid. Also sounds like someone is subdividing (or did at some point) so you’d have to drive through the former owner’s property to get to it which would be awkward. Would be NP in my opinion if it had grid access (though maybe being totally off grid is what you want). At some point I hope to pick up something like this on more like 20-30 acres so that I can carve a bunch of my own private bike/ATV trails.

I like. I look at real estate websites almost as often as cars. I keep hoping I can get property in the mountains.

I build off grid power. That system will run your lights and that’s about it.
Minimum, diy, your liking at a 3k system so have something that will last and make enough power to run things from outlets without draining the system.
Just an FYI, not looking the snow right now but looks like a great retreat!

Only being 4 acres is a downer. I’m looking for 20-30 myself for the same reasons. $40k can get some nice land around here.
