I, for one, am excited for Trumpchis.

With Chinese cars, it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when. And Trumpchi seems very serious on bringing their cars to North America. You may laugh now, but people also laughed when Hyundai and Toyota came to North America too. The name could use a change though. Maybe go for GAC instead of Trumpchi.

Maybe go for GAC instead of Trumpchi.

Missing a couple letters. Mainly “T” and “F” GTFAC , much better.

To be fair, they greatly reduced the Trumpchi branding when they showed up at the Detroit Auto Show. (I didn’t actually go into their exhibit, though.)

This Trumptweet and resurgence of the series is brought to by For Sweden’s Ban Hammer Insecticide guaranteed to ban grey bugs and dissenting opinions on Volvo 240s

“Very crooked GM does not produce bigly winning cars anymore. My Trumpchi cars are great cars and tremendously fast. Very unfair big 3 does not like my cars. SAD!”

silver linings, the abolition of safety and emissions regulations may usher in a new dawn of garbage cars. Ballaban’s yugo is ahead of the curve.

I sat in the two that were open at the Detroit Auto Show (the concept was locked). They weren’t bad, probably on par with other cheap offerings (plasticy). I do remember the center console having a nice array of buttons through, with icons for “Cactus Mode,” “Pine Tree Mode,” and “Hit The Car In Front Of You” amongst others.

Tremendous turbo inside = 1 cylinder non-turbo diesel. It’s Alt-fast.

Trumpchi? Yeaaaaaaah I’m sure it was always called that. Like, from the beginning. This reminds me about how Hisense started putting bald eagles and american flags on all their box art at walmart.

Kinja'd!!!

I’m hoping no trump fans brought Hisense TVs thinking they were supporting america, because that company is owned by the Chinese government. When you buy Hisense, you are literally giving your money directly to China.

Not only is Hisense owned by the Chinese goverment, instead of assembling TVs in the US, they have a plant in...you guessed it...Mexico!

Trumpchi has been around for about seven years at this point, I think its named after a Chinese literary genre.

We’ve been told “when, not if” for well obver a decade now. So far we have a Buick that few people have ever seen, and I think Canuckistan has a Chinese-built model or two.

Looks like a cross between a Hyundai and a Chrysler 200. I don’t know if people need a new car this badly and can’t find one from an existing brands.

I welcome our Alfa Romeo 166-based overlords.

Shame about the name though.
