A traditionally built home with load bearing walls is the architectural equivalent of a unibody car. A post-and-beam home is BOF.

I have a middle I beam, but wood around the outside of structure. Then from there all wood. So Comanche Uni-Frame?

Wouldn’t a house built on a concrete (or cinderblock or otherwise) foundation be a body-on-frame, but a PWF house would be a unibody? Either way, the walls and floors are pretty much self supporting on top of whatever structure lies underneath, the same way a car body does, whether unibody or BOF.

My grandfather built their current house post and beam. Which is great for when I inherit it (I hope) I can remodel without much worry. .
