I do a LS1 for reliability & size, a sequential 6spd, & see how the rest goes.

Two flotation pods and a sail. High tech catamaran so I can continue my unique brand of high speed piracy.

seems like the gearbox equation would come first.

Sequential gearbox, velocity stacks, big rear wing and track days.

You’d have to do something about the entire rear end since (if it’s really an F1 chassis, which I don’t entirely believe since there’s no information about the constructor) the engine and transmission are stressed components that support the rear suspension. I also wouldn’t be surprised if even an LS is too large for it.

I think a Ford Voodoo motor or even just a mod motor with an 8k redline and a sequential would be the way to go. LS motors are the best, but sustained high rpm usage, isn’t their forte.

I agree with that but size wise the VooDoo is much larger then a LS.

only marginally in the width department, but the voodoo is much taller... VELOCITY STACKS!

6BT Cummins diesel would be rad. with the turbo hanging out the side, dual stacks, LED light bar and a full camo/bassproshops/browning/whateverhuntingbrandishipthesedays livery.

Chassis is a Reynard 97i, used in the 1997 CART season. These were powered by 2.6L Methanol fueled Turbocharged V8 engines. Lookes like a lot of the aero is missing, definitely not worth buying unless you can source the rest of the car.

a fully built insane oldsmobile quad 4 would be fun maybe recreat one of the racing motors. or just build one on my CNC mill. Cuz in this dream I am super wealthy.
the modern body and chassis and this old school looking engine would be neat.
Or maybe an offenshauser would be even cooler?
