Spotted at lunch today... any way to tell from here if it’s real? (Edit: Yes. Thanks SM70 and MarquetteLA!) Holy freaking unicorn Batman! Everything looks legit. Paint was rough, but dem AMG monoblocks doe. Also saw this G8 GT all alone at the corner of the Teebee parking lot. Someone clearly loves it and I don’t blame them. What I found interesting is the combo of slotted rotors at all 4 corners with what appear to be the stock calipers and stock wheels. I wonder what prompted that change.

They do. The camber seems pretty high, and the red seems like an odd choice, but don’t mean it is a clone.

I’m honestly not sure how it works, but they have a PL82VIN tool that usually succeeds at finding the VIN for the plate if it’s properly registered. Sometimes it pulls in vehicle history data like Carfax but not always. I use it to catalog my car spotting.

That photo it pulled in is a stock photo for the model. If someone uploads an actual photo of the car, that header image would be replaced by it.

Lord oh lord those AMG monoblocks. This is like the perfect car. Boutique and handmade, old enough to be free of too much complexity, but new enough to not feel Stone Age, big V8, not stupid fast but as fast as you’ll ever need, still looks like the tits. It’s the classic boxy MB, yet right away from the stance and fenders you know it means business. God I love it.
