The callus removal section at Walmart is looking mighty appealing. I seriously considered getting one of those electric foot grinders but I can’t remember if my wife already has one. Because right now when my foot calluses get bad, I cut them off with a nail clipper. Gross.

“Electric Foot Grinder” sounds like the title of a Cannibal Corpse song.

I used to use the fake Xacto knife I used to cut flash of model car parts to cut mine off. Wife caught me doing it once when we were dating and I horrified her to the point where she buys and keeps pumice stones in the shower.

Ah good. I’m not the only one who uses nail clippers.

I think the logic behind it is something like, “well I use this to cut other parts of my feet...”

Hand calluses help me deadlift. Foot calluses hurt when I run. It’s not something that eventually improves over time, it just feels like a rock in my shoe.

On the Amopé™ Pedi Perfect™ website , they’re referred to as electronic foot files, but that’s just not quite as descriptive as electric foot grinder.

A steady hand and a razor (box cutter) works well

I use a razor sharp pocket knife for hand calluses every month or two. Luckily don’t seem to get bad ones on my feet

My hands pretty much take care of themselves. If some skin gets loose I peel it away, usually in the shower or soon after.

The ball of my right foot builds up a very thick callus, and on my left foot it’s more towards the center, just to the left of the ball of the foot. There’s no bone there but it’s still irritating. After a while they get painful to run with, and if I let them go too long they’re irritating even just walking around unless I’m in cushy shoes.

I totally do it as well. They’re a bit like a safety knife. It’s difficult to cut too deep.
