Nice car, awful build quality. Had one until recently, now have the mk3 that followed it, which is a much better car.

I always like the look of those things. Sadly the mk2 pre-facelift Laguna is saddled with problems, mostly electrical ones, so I never considered one and never will. A mk3 on the other hand...

It doesn’t help that they’ve usually been used by careless owners that never wash or maintain them - at least that’s the case here. If I even see a 1st or 2nd gen Laguna these days it is either rusty and rough on the edges, or situated in the middle of a field after major repairs were needed.
