Doug says he wants a pickup or SUV, priced between $60,000 and $80,000, with minimal depreciation. Does such a vehicle exist?
Pictured: what Doug should buy; shame it only costs $44,000

He’s going to have to go classic. I recommend a FJ25,40,45,55,60,62,70,75 or 80

But can he find one with a bumper-to-bumper warranty?
![]() 02/10/2017 at 14:20 |

Pretty confident he said maximum price.
![]() 02/10/2017 at 14:20 |

Maybe one that’s already depreciated to that pricepoint?

I would live for everyone of those videos because that has been my life for the last 22 years. My dad has had his since the mid-80s

![]() 02/10/2017 at 14:22 |

It’s a Land Cruiser. You don’t need a warranty haha.

Probably nothing.

Either a Tesla Model X 75D or a Land Cruiser.
(I think you can get a 75D for
just
under $80k?)

sounds like he’s setting himself up to get that 200 series he’s been talking about.

He’s going to shock the world and buy a Sequoia.

I guess it’s more than 80 grand, but come on, this is what he should get if he’s going to do a fucking SUV.
![]() 02/10/2017 at 14:31 |

it would be a shock to see him in an 60-80 grand Sequoia

Yes, 2006-ish International XT series pickups still go for around $70-100k. Here’s one listed for $79k.

The seamlessness between the International cab and that F350 bed is just so flawless.

Izuzu Vehiclcross or whatever. I don’t remember the name at all as you can see.

isnt the TT just the bigger phone booth version of the T?.......
shown are......... 26 TT, 27 t (enclosed cab), 27 t roadster pickup........

Yeah it’s pretty uncanny.

Heavy duty 1 ton suspension, stronger rear axle and geared lower top speed was something like 15 mph. Basically bigger heavier and slower than a model t.
![]() 02/10/2017 at 15:12 |

Any SUV that costs that much is automatically a maximum depreciation vehicle.

He can find a Corvair rampside for sale for $60K easily. Just go to a show with $60K, find a rampside, and offer the owner the cash. Odds are they’ll gladly take it. If you want to be more patient and frugal, you can probably get four of them in excellent condition for that price range.

Should be able to get $8-$10k off of sticker after rebates and dealer discounts are added up. It will drop about $10k in value the first year and then should hold steady after that as long as it is maintained.

thanks,
15 mph, uphill or downhill, loaded or unloaded. i seem to remember the regular t having a top speed of around 40. thats a good bit more gear, for doing truck stuffs ......
and prices seem to be STEADY......

I like this idea
![]() 02/10/2017 at 15:54 |

Downhil with a full load I’m sure double that would be possible but a very bad idea

sorry, its part of an old spiel, usually about mileage. “uphill or downhill, loaded or unloaded, with the wind or against. 8 mpg SOLID” applies real good to a top speed that low........
