I think I’d have to get this Civic for $1500 and hope I could stretch the $500.

Wasn’t too hard, inspection is still good for another couple months, road tax and insurance aren’t too bad. Should have enough money for that and gas.

Camry #1 is appealing due to the low miles. The Altima looks like a good buy for sub 1k, the new tires are a nice plus

Nah, you just go pull standard suspension off one in the scrap yard. If you’re really lucky, the shocks will already be spent. Then it will waft and oscillate perfectly .

Currently it’s frozen in the garage but when the weather is nicer I clean up the rear frame a little bit here and there. I got a little media blaster to get in the weird shapes on the inside for the frame rails. The outsides of the rails are all cleaned up they’ll just need a scuffing before paint.

Yup. Still need to take the front end apart and replace whatever is broken after I rebuild the back end.

broken, or just rattling? id jack up the front wheels, and give them a good shake, and check the ball joints/wheel bearings first. then tie rod ends. the rest of it is not so major....... its getting close........

Springs and shocks are being replaced. I got a 3" drop kit to replace my broken rear springs. Shocks are out but I’ll probably break something getting the springs out. The front end looks pretty good to me. Rubber is in good shape. The front got regularly coated in oil so it didn’t rust like the rear haha.

yeah, i know ALL about that rust preventative oil coating....... that 3 inch kit should get it set down nicely...... should be a lot of fun when you get it moving here real soon.......
