Despite it being 76F today and possibly 80+ tomorrow, I made vegetarian chili an cornbread tonight. This stuff is hot enough to knock your tits/dicks off.

Hand breaded and deep fried clams, scallops, and shrimp... with a side of deep fried tater tots.
Just finished breading. About to start frying in a min.

Fish tacos. Baked cod, salsa, queso, gwahk, cheese, fried potatoes, corn tortillas.

That sounds awesome. I could go for a fish taco right now. That chiki knocked my dick off. Ever been to Thai Tom’s in Seattle. It was like a four on their spicy scale.

Bro, this shit was serious. Ever eat at Thai Tom’s in Seattle? It’s like a four on their scale. He put a dude from The Stranger in the hospital once.

Bunch of bell peppers, a few jaleoeños, sweet onion, whole head of garlic, black and kidney beans, diced tomatoes, cup of High Life, a cup of Ninkasi red ale, salt/pepper/chili powder/paprika/cayenne pepper/some other seasonings, then simmered for two hours.

Seattle has some amazing hole in the wall Thai joints. Too bad I’m old and don’t want to spend 2 hours stuck in traffic to get there anymore :/

I made a homemade deep fried calzone. It was actually pretty damn good. I guess with the snowstorm coming tomorrow, I need to go get supplies to make French toast.

I’ve had a four at a Thai restaurant. Can confirm: makes me sweat, but didn’t knock my dick off.

Hit up Toms. A four is hard to finish. It becomes painful. Worth it though.

I think there should be some sort of incentive for finishing a 5.

I love Spanish tortillas. I make ‘em with potatoes and spice the shit out of them. I usually make a tomato based sauce for them like you’d see on patatas bravas.

Unless you’re thai and were raised on chili sauce, a five at Tom’s might put you in the hospital. My buddy that introduced me to it is a Muay Thai instructor and has trained in Thai jungles, Bloodsport style, and was like “if you order a five he’s going to make it a seven to teach you a lesson”. I usually get a five at bs places in Phoenix because people here think Mexican food is spicy and they tone it down.

Mangia! Any sauce, or just butter?

In high school, some of my friends were downing spicy Chex Mix and really having a hard time with it. It was about as spicy as popcorn.

Oh, we sauce all the things!

Alfredo or tomato?
Here’s a little quick amd easy light sauce to mix things up:
1. Put a bunch of olive oil in a skillet and heat it up
2. Crush up a bunch of garlic and throw it in for a minute
3. Dump in some italian bread crumbs amd mix them around until golden brown
4. Mix into pasta for a nive crunchy dish
It goes really well with chicken or eggplant parm and a white wine.

I’ve never got into chilli. I don’t like the beans (I love bakes beans, but not the beans used for chilli).
Nothing at present but did a couple of steaks with mushroom sauce when I got in from work this morning. Then later made a pepperoni frusta pizza.

That sounds good! We use tomato. I’ll have to save that recipe!

It’s amazing how this turns out. The chips soften and form layers, almost like a gratin, and since they’ve been deep fried you get the full-on roasty-toasty potato thing, with the vinegar from the salt and vinegar chips keeping what could be a heavy dish light tasting. I would recommend not adding salt, though, since there’s more than enough on the chips. I start mine with by softening thinly-sliced red onion in the pan before I add the chip/egg mixture, and serve it as-is, no sauce.
