I just wish North America got the true kei version.

Also, did you know that (Mercedes bait) the gasoline i’s engine is the same family as the W451 ForTwo’s gasoline engine? (I wonder if this is actually related... although the gasoline i used a 4-speed torque converter automatic, whereas the ForTwo used a 5-speed single-clutch box.)

Post interesting facts about incredibly boring cars.

the rear axle of the 2004-2010 Dodge Durango has a Watt’s link instead of a Panhard rod.

yes, they spent the money they saved on the godawful interior and ugly-ass styling on a Watt’s link for a full-size SUV.

And now I’ve looked into it more... it seems that the embiggening was all fender flares, wider track to match (4" wider overall), and bumper. Lots and lots of bumper. Eleven inches of bumper.

Oh, and they gave us three more horsepower than Japan gets.

Now I’m slightly interested in taking an i-MiEV for a spin. It wouldn’t be practical for me, nowhere to charge it, but still.

Ah, no, ours was still embiggened a bit in the cockpit. The differences are so subtle, though.
