Simpson Design Italia 2 GTO. Based off the styling of the Ferrari 250 GTO but using an NB Miata as the base, getting you the looks of a 1967 car with the reliability of a 2000-2005 Mazda. I can’t think of much more of a win-win.
I need those seats in my Miata. Lovely.
That fastback profile... my goodness.
The price for all of this is $30k for a turnkey ready-to-go car. Not bad considering an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

I still don’t think it quite “works.” This is better than other photos I’ve seen, but I also don’t think those too-big wheels are doing it any favors...

Those look like 15" wheels. I kinda like the “restomod” look that it has. It very much tries to be *inspired* by a GTO without directly copying it, sort of a more modern interpretation.

Bawkwards opening hood? Sports car!

Jake, you continue to be an asset here at Oppositelock.
I’ve always thought that kit looked really nice. Not too much of a copy, but looks timeless.
The only thing that lets it down are the door handles. If they could have the handles from an NA it would look perfect. Hell, it would look great with shave handles.
Can someone photoshop that? This car, but with the door shaved?

I like everything but the front of this car.

Might as well get a V8 for 30k though. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C694392

I like everything except the ride height, it’s just a little too high. Just a little

Broken link :(

Something just seems a little off about the proportions. Always amazed by how nice a Miata interior can be made though.

Here’s a pic at least.
For 30k though, I’d go for similar looks and a V8. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C694392 <- link hopefully is not broken.

The NB interior lends itself really well to being made pseudo-lux

This is an NC, but it looks like a legit classic sports car. I don’t know how Simpson hides it that well, but I’m seriously impressed.

i am not a fan of the NB redesign, i think mazda did a great job on the look dept.
but damn this NC is hawt and i want one. ( i never like the NC that much )
edit : oh damn Sinpson Design wants 95k for one lol. i’d be better off giving 95k to flyin miata to get a LS3 ND .....

The seats and the headliner. I desperately want both in saddle brown.

NA1 interior > NB

GTB > GTO, especially after my friend photoshopped the back end flat black and doubled the taillights.

The differences seem subtle
