Pretty sure that Camry had snows on, at least it sure looked like it.

It’s been a mild winter. I was begining to think I wasn’t going to be able to use this.

And of course, just more cold rain in Seattle.

It’s in the process of turning into rain, so it’ll get nice and icy tonight

This looks like a situation where there is a skim of snow on top of solid ice. Beyond metal spikes or tire chains there isn’t much you can do to control your car.

Audi made an amazingly valiant effort but got blocked.

Fun times. Probably not here - Van and Portland have been nailed so many times this winter, while Seattle has virtually nothing.

I would rather drive back and forth across the province in a snowstorm before I’d ever try to get through the lower mainland..

That first one just HAD to leave the door open, didn’t she? “Let’s see how many cars I can hit!”

It only snowed again this morning, I would be surprised if there was already ice. Maybe hard-packed enough that it had basically the same effect though. From what I’ve heard from friends, no one saw salt trucks out last night, everything is worse than it should be, even though we knew this was coming today.

Weird, I always thought Vancouver was the most rainy, but it looks like it’s Seattle

It’s not a good time in general, and even worse when it snows. I only have to drive once tonight, I’m not looking forward to it

10% heavy coastal snow, 10% oil residue on the road surface, 80% terrible driver with all seasons.

That A4's not even quattro (lack of badge on grill and rear tire movement).

I shouldn’t talk so quickly I guess; this is 10 minutes from home;

Coq is closed, Connector was already closed this morning, and we are expecting another 25cm overnight..

It might be close in terms of volume or dreary days, but because of Fraser outflow, Van gets more snow. Especially this year.

The best guess I’ve got is they aren’t very smart, I can’t think of any good reason

I think the biggest problem with the Coq is that a lot of the turns are graded for water to run off the road surface (which is great) but it also seems to let a lot of vehicles just slide right off the shoulder when there’s that packed ice. If the road surface was banked I think a lot more cars would stay in their own lanes. Or at lest the road.
