Yeah, but does the land cruiser tackle buildings like the LX450?

I’ve never seen that ad. Nice! finding period FZJ80 stuff is tough.

Did you find this in a PDF somewhere? It’s hard to read some of the text on my phone.

I love this lc in its cheapo version i have seen in south america. Manual trans. Cloth seats. The best.

My uncle has the “poverty pack” 80 series. Cloth manual seats, no sliding window, no sunroof, etc. But being a US spec its auto only and it has the fender flares. Mine is the opposite of that.

Two things...

1. I love the fact that the FJ55 represents Toyota ‘heritage’ when it was actually such a rusty old POS that very few outlived the 45!

2. My parents bought a new 80 series in 1992 (replaced a very worn out L28 powered 1982 MQ Patrol wagon). And it truly was the poverty pack version (actually it was the ‘commercial’ specification) - all white with grey bumpers, all vinyl seats, vinyl flooring and door cards, AM only radio and split rim wheels with 7.50R16 tyres. But the diesel engine and driveline was just the same as the one in the bling version...

...it’s gone now.

Understated and practical designs + functionality and durability really have charm

PS: sorry for the late reply
